1. Introduction

Referraly.club (“we”, “our”, or “Referraly”) operates the website and service at referraly.club. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our job-alerts and company-watchlist service.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: Email address, password (hashed), and if you sign in with GitHub or LinkedIn, the identifier and basic profile info provided by those providers.
• Profile and preferences: Preferred roles, locations, experience level, remote preference, and similar settings you set in your account.
• Usage data: Companies you follow, job listings we show you, and that you receive alerts for.
• Payment data: For Pro subscriptions we use PayPal; we store order and subscription status (e.g. plan, period end). We do not store your full card number; payment details are handled by PayPal.
• Technical data: Logs (e.g. IP, request paths) and, where applicable, region/country for features like pricing display.

3. How we use your data

We use the data above to:

• Provide and operate the service (watchlist, job matching, email alerts).
• Authenticate you and manage your account.
• Process Pro subscriptions and send relevant billing information.
• Send transactional and product emails (e.g. welcome, job alert digests) within the limits of your plan.
• Improve the service, fix issues, and comply with legal obligations.

4. Third-party services

We use the following third parties, each with their own privacy practices:

• Supabase: Authentication and database (account, profile, preferences, subscriptions, orders, companies, jobs).
• PayPal: Payment processing for Pro subscriptions (India and international).
• Resend: Sending email (welcome emails, job alert emails).
• Firecrawl: Job listing extraction from career pages (we send URLs; we do not send your personal data to Firecrawl).
• Vercel: Hosting and serverless functions; may log requests and use geo for features.

5. Cookies and similar tech

We use cookies and similar storage for authentication and session management (e.g. Supabase auth). We may use cookies for essential operation of the site. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

6. Data retention

We retain your account and profile data while your account is active. After you delete your account, we remove or anonymise your data in line with our systems and legal obligations. Payment and order records may be retained longer for legal and accounting purposes.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update profile and preferences in the app; to delete your account or exercise other rights, contact us at the email below.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures (e.g. HTTPS, hashed passwords, secure APIs) to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we strive to protect your information appropriately.

9. Children

The service is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy where permitted by law.
